Compare the Gimme More Down Jacket with other down outerwear and you'll find that most have downproof exterior fabrics, but these materials are rarely waterproof and reinforced for abrasive surfaces like frozen hardpack. The Women's Gimme More Down delivers on full weatherproof protection and a tough twill exterior face. The sleeves and torso feature quality 600-fill while the fixed, helmet-compatible hood has a lighter 60g Heatseeker synthetic insulation. The Heatseeker inside the hood allows you to leave the hood off without worrying about water and snow seeping into the hood lining and possibly ruining any down insulation. Other thoughtful components include a Recco avalanche rescue reflector, mesh-lined underarm zip-vents and a wrist accessory pocket with attached goggle wipe. When sized properly, the hem of the Gimme More Down hits about mid-thigh, so it's perfect for snowboarders seeking a little more coverage.
