While some ski jacket designs prefer to focus on stylish color hues and other fashion nuances, The North Face ST Apogee emphasizes alpine functionality. The North Face reinforced the shoulders with Kevlar panels for exceptional durability and protection. The ST Apogee is fully waterproof and breathable, although it saves some weight by applying seam sealing along the most critical seams exposed to stress and weather conditions. The hood is adjustable and removable, which is a major plus for most guys who opt to wear a ski helmet while dropping into steep chutes and other tricky extreme confines. The dual chest pockets can be moved--or removed from the jacket.
