The former Napoleon chest pocket found on older Elysium Jackets for men was relocated to the left bicep, giving you great accessibility to small essentials while you're wearing a pack or full harness. Sometimes the fabric on other cheap down or synthetic puffy jackets will run, fray or tear, but the Elysium Jacket has a durable ripstop nylon exterior that holds up well beneath pack straps and most abrasive surfaces. Depending on how you size your Elysium Jacket, you should have no problem layering this outerwear over a fleece midweight pullover or other clothing with moderate insulating qualities. It also fits well beneath most mountaineering shells.
